I remember always checking to see if they had any decent games or mangas available. The games usually weren't anything special(except that one time they had the first Fairly Odd Parents game on PC) and were mostly either shovelware for Wii or DS(I think they had the MnM's Kart Racing game one year), but the mangas they had were usually decent. It's how I found out about Psyren and the KH2 manga(unfortunately, it was TokyoPOP's version, which didn't get past volume 2). I also remember getting some Calvin and Hobbes collections from them.

I love impossible space!

Sometimes you can get lucky. I ended up with this wonderful little book about alien biology that I still have crammed in a bookshelf somewhere, and I once ended up with one of Teddy Deary's Horrible Histories books, which ended up kindling a livelong love of history. And of course, if all else fails, there's Calvin and Hobbes.
